Rooted in the Land

I grew up on the Navajo Nation, surrounded by the red rock canyons, wide-open skies, and the quiet power of the desert. That landscape shaped the way I see — the way light falls across sandstone at dusk, the way a storm builds over a mesa, the way a place can hold memory.

Photography found me through sports. I started shooting high school football games under Friday night lights, chasing the decisive moment — the catch, the collision, the celebration. That urgency, that need to be present, carried over into everything I shoot.

Today I work across landscape, sports, and portrait photography. Whether I'm standing at the edge of a canyon at sunrise or on the sideline of a college game, I'm looking for the same thing: the moment that tells the truth about a place or a person.

The Work

"Every photograph is a conversation between the land and the light. I just try to listen."

My prints are made to last — archival pigment on fine art paper, sized to fill a wall and hold a room. Each image is a piece of the Southwest I grew up in, made available to anyone who wants to carry a piece of it home.
